Located in Oconaluftee, on the North Carolina side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Mountain Farm Museum features a replica of an 1800’s Appalachian farm.
On display is a farm house, a barn, croncrib, molasses mill and a blacksmith shop.
From Spring through October you can watch costumed interpretive demonstrations in which re-enactors portray what life on a Smoky Mountain farm was like for earlier generations.
You can also visit the Oconaluftee Visitor Center which is only a short walk from the farm.
