As the Autumn colors descend upon the Great Smoky Mountains, throughout the month of October we’ll be sharing great spots to view the Fall colors in the park.
Some may be popular and highly-visited locations while others may be less well-known.
Today’s spot is the Noah “Bud” Ogle Cabin. Located on Airport Road near the start of the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, the Ogle cabin is a great place to visit to get a glimpse of what pioneer life was like in the Appalachian Mountains.
It’s also an incredible spot to view and photograph the magnificent Fall colors as they surround a traditional and original log structure of the Great Smoky Mountains. The cabin and the barn, located just above the home, make wonderful subjects in any season for an endless number of photographic compositions but in the midst of Autumn the old pioneer homeplace really comes to life with colorful beauty.
The Noah “Bud” Ogle should definitely be on your list of spots to visit during your Fall trip to the Smoky Mountains.
